Leadership Coaching

Geoff provides coaching in leadership skills to a wide range of clients. This is provided face-to-face and by phone or video conferencing. Areas commonly explored include:

• Dealing with difficult situations and people.
• Planning, priority setting and time management, especially at a 'whole of team' scale.
• Personal skills and deficits.
• Values, and how these influence behaviour.
• 'Managing upwards' for mutual cooperation and valued outcomes.
• Giving clear work instructions, delegation and follow-up.
• Working towards consensus on contentious issues.
• Developing stakeholder relationships.

Geoff’s approach to coaching involves listening and sharing experiences of leadership and other aspects of professional practice. Sessions are usually an hour a month. The focus in each session is guided by (a) specific instructions given before commencing the coaching; (b) the person’s recent experiences; (c) the person’s upcoming challenges; and (d) Geoff’s suggestions.

Coaching/supervision sessions with Geoff have been invaluable. The sessions are practical.
